Amber's fashion sense is kinda swaggy

On 26 July, F(x)’s Amber updated her Instagram (ajol_llama) by uploading an all-black photo. With regards to recent events in which ‘antisinsulted her directly in front of her, she addressed her ‘antis’ with a passage in English.

Amber expressed that she never wanted to be forceful and act tough, but there came a time when she had to defend her principles and things she strongly believed in. Amber mentioned that she had gone for a tomboy-ish style for much of her life and there were times when it sucked and brought her difficulties. She addressed haters by saying ‘Haters can and will hate, but insulting me in front my face is totally different thing’, expressing that she cannot tolerate some hater’s reckless behavior.

Amber went on to explain her take on appearances for men and women, saying that she believed that both sexes could have more than one way of expressing themselves and that beauty comes in all shapes and sizes. She added that people shouldn’t judge others by their appearances and that we should learn to respect each other.

On a different note, she expressed that she had always tried to be happy and stay positive and that she loved her life, her work and her supporters. She was thankful for people who helped her on her way to stardom and said that with every mistake she took, she realizes her faults and tried to better herself. She concluded by thanking everyone for their encouragement and signed off with a note saying that we should love each other, love life, work hard and follow our dreams.

My fan boy thoughts:

Personally, I’m a huge fan of fx since their debut and they are one of the reasons why I started following Kpop. I’ve always admired Amber’s role in the team as she stood out so differently. At first I thought her company made her adopt her tomboy-ish style, but after knowing that she chose to present herself that way, I had even more admiration for her. It’s hard to be different, let alone showing an image that is still controversial to this day. Personally, I love the way she looks. I think her message can be an inspiration to us all.
